The Tenth of May

Today marked another shopping spree with my mom. We always have a blast when we go shopping, but who doesn’t right. I have been doing really well though only buying the things that we need, not just the things I want. I have pretty much realized in the last few days that I have a ton of stuff. I just keep thinking why did I buy all this stuff. I seriously have clothes in my closet with tags, shoes never taken out of the box, and so many other things I never wear. I think about it and the only reasonable explanation I could come up with is I have been spoiling myself way to much, lol. Up to this point I never had to think about something before I bought it, I just would say oh I love that and get it. Bad Amanda, but I promise I am getting better. It has already been 1 month since I have bought anything from Victoria Secret and trust me that is HUGE for me.

I swear there is actually a point to why I name the post comfy. So my mom and I were shopping and we found the perfect bedding for our new master bedroom. It was kind of just a fluky thing, we were looking down the isle and they had a bed on display. Well the bed had this really nice comfortable, I asked my mom if she knew where I could get one like that and she said the store carries them, Score. So then we continued to shop and I began to forget about the bedding. When we were just about done I saw bedding in isle and remember I wanted to look and see what they had. So let me tell you about this perfect bedding, it came with everything, 20 different pieces from pillows, valances, sheets, shames, 4 throw pillows, and a ton of other stuff. The color is perfect and will match the new walls perfectly, double score. Sometimes you just find things and you know they are going to work. Technically this would be a triple score because my mom also decided that she wanted to buy it for us as an early house warming gift. I love her not only for the gifts, but just because of course.

There are so many exciting things that we are and will be experiencing through the moving process, however though there is one that I am super excited about. Last year for my bridal shower my family went above and beyond for me, I was given everything a bride could ever want or need. My favorite things came in little white cardboard boxes with blue writing that read “Princess House.” Oh man when you receive boxes like that you know you are going to be a wife, it is the real deal. My family and friends stock me up on everything from casserole dishes, serving dishes, bowls, cups you name it. Well up until this point my crystal never really left the closet, so sad I know. So today I put all the crystal in the boxes and got it ready to be moved. I was just thinking about how I will have the place to store it and to display it. There are a few ideas I have for the crystal, you will just have to wait for the house warming party to see what we come up with.

Today my mom and I went on a little shopping spree. Originally we were only going to get moving containers but then my dad needed groceries from Costco. So we went to Costco, and let me tell you when you have this big new home coming your way you want to buy everything for it, they had these candle sticks, vases, sheets. Towels, you name it I wanted to get everything, but I didn’t. I was really proud of myself. So I stuck to the basics, bread, veggies, egg, and a few other small things. Now I can’t say the same for my mom she got a ton of stuff. It was super fun shopping with her though.

Today we received the title papers in the mail for our new home. Man let me tell you, I looked at those papers for like a second and then got super confused. There is so much information and so many different choices you have to make. That is definitely something I am going to leave up to Ben, his dad, and my dad. I will just sign wherever he wants me to sign. The idea of moving into a new home becomes more realistic everyday. Saturday was the big day when we found the home, Sunday it was like ok we got an accepted offer and we are in the contract phase. Then on Monday escrow opened, and they cashed our big deposit check. Ok so home is accepted, escrow is open, check is cashed, and title papers have arrived and this all happened in a matter of 48 hours, Wow we are just moving right along. Saturday at 12 we are having the FINAL inspection and the pest inspection. I am a little sad because I will be working so I will not get to see the house again, but I know Ben will talk plenty of pictures and the house will be in great hands. Ben and I were talking last night about how we want to move in, sounds a little awkward to say right? Well let me explain what I mean. See Ben and I have always had a house together, but it was a home we got to pick out every detail of it. So we decided that on the night of the 28^th when we get the keys,, we are going to sleep in the house we no furniture and eat dinner on the floor with boxes as our tables. How romantic right, it will be as If we do not have any furniture and we are just starting off. Now he also wanted to sleep on the floor, but we will see, if I wasn’t prego I would be all up for a camp out, maybe with a ton of blankets or something.

We are so excited, today our wonderful real estate agent sent us a text while I was at work saying, “You Got It.” Of course she followed it up by a detailed message but it was perfect. Today our whole life changes. Looking for a house has definitely been quite a mission for us, we have had some let downs and plenty of waiting time. I feel through that God makes everything happen for a reason and we truely believe that. This home is perfect and we can not wait to move in and most of all to design the nursery for the baby, we have already picked out which room will belong to the baby. We will keep everything updated. We Open escrow tomorrow, and a final inspection on Wednesday! Official move in date is set for March 28th. Soon, I know.

Today we found our dream home and put our offer in at 9:00 p.m. Fingers crossed we will know by tomorrow at 8 p.m. if we have a new home.
