Hello 2010, this is my first official post and we are into the 6th month, something is seriously wrong. ![]()
I will make Travis’ updates separate posts, because there are just too many. ![]()
Alright so first off, so many wonderful things have happened in our lives in 2010. I will start back from January. When I went back to work after having Travis. I knew it was never going to be the same, but it was worst than I thought. A job that dare I say I LOVED, was replaced with a beautiful baby boy. After Travis’ surgery Ben and I made the decision that Travis needed me more and my place was at home with him. I would be lying if I said it was not a difficult decision, but I knew it was the right one for our family. I officially turned in my badge in March and have been cherishing every moment as a stay at home mommy. I feel truly blessed to be with him and not to feel like I am missing out on something. I commend and praise all the women that work full time and raise children but a full time job in those environments was not for me anymore.
On April 4th I celebrated my 22nd birthday. It was a great day with family and a remembrance of the lord. This same day Travis celebrated his first Easter. It was so fun watching him try to find and pick up eggs in the backyard. It is crazy how much we change and evolve. A few years ago I would have wanted my birthday to be all about me, but now I want everything to be about family and Travis of course. Yes, I have grown up a little.
My bf Amanda came to visit us in April and we had SO much fun. I had missed her so so much and it had been way to long. Something else very special about this visit was that she got to meet Travis for the very first time.
I remember when she was down here when I was only about 20 weeks and she was the first person that got to feel him kick, (besides Ben of course) and now when she came to visit, he was kicking her. haha
Trav and I are counting down the days until we get to see our Mandi again.
March 28th we celebrated a year in our home. Since we have moved in, we have officially filled every room, which is huge for us, because we take forever to make decisions or should I say Ben does. Well I have to recant, although all the rooms are full we still have yet to decide on a new bedroom set. We will get there eventually. lol It is crazy how fast a year went by, but it was fun remembering the moving process. Even though I did not take much part in it due to the bump. lol
In the beginning of April, we also celebrated Ben working from home for a year. We were not sure what to expect at first, but the opportunities and the partnerships he has built have been truly a blessing. He loves being home and we love having him.
Also in April I accepted a job working for Got You Covered!, a music/entertainment company I hired for our wedding back in 2008. I am so excited about this opportunity, I still have the freedom of being at home with Travis but I also get to be out in the world meeting happy couples about to embark of what I think is the greatest journey, marriage!
I just LOVE it. So far things have been wonderful and I am loving every minute of it. What could be better than a job where I can set my own hours/work from home for a company I already LOVE and meet adorable wedding couples every day to talk about their weddings? Definitely MY dream job.
On May 1st my oldest brother Josh, married the women of his dreams, Brandi and not only “officially” welcomed 2 little boys into our family but also gave me a sister. It was a beautiful day and we were all honored to be part of it. Welcome to the family Brandi, Tyler and Aidan (OFFICIALLY)!!!!
May 10th Ben and I celebrated 2 amazing years married. I feel like the luckiest women in the world to have him as my best friend, partner, lover, husband, and the father to our child. God was working on my side when he choose him for me.
There are just so many more things. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Parties, Graduations, wow it has truly been an amazing year so far.
Looking forward to everything to come in the next 6 months, Our trip, Travis’ first circus, Father’s Day, Travis walking, Travis’ 1st Birthday, Ben’s Birthday, other family member’s birthdays, friendships, celebrations, surprises, I could go on and on, it is going to be a great year!
CHEERS!!
