8 Pounds

Amanda Baby, Events Add comments

Today we had another baby appointment. Our baby boy is doing really good, and has a nice steady heartbeat. His mommy on the other hand, not so good. Obviously, from my previous posts you can tell I have been having a pretty rough pregnancy. I was looking forward to this appointment, because I thought they were going to put me on a Zofran pump for all the nausea. Well apparently, they are not able to if you are gaining weight, and weight I am gaining a total of 8 pounds. I was in shock, and this not 8 pounds in 6 months, no, this is 8 pounds in 4 weeks. I still do not get it though; I would like to know where, because I am just starting to show. If I was to guess I would say in my boobs and butt that is the only thing I could think of it. Well according to the doctor it is mostly all baby, just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it is not there. Does this mean Ben and I are going to have a gigantic baby? Oh please say it isn’t so. I told Ben if this little boy is more than 8 pounds, he is coming out c-section, lol. Her suggestions for me was to lay off of the sugar, ok I admit I eat some candy, but nothing like what I have seen other pregnant women doing. I have seen full pizzas, apple pie with strawberry ice cream, and 32 oz sodas from QT. For me it is the occasional ice cream, skittles, and caffeine for headaches. Here is another fun fact though, that wonderful juice, that is supposed to be so good for us is loaded with sugar. I am thinking that is where a lot of it was coming from. So today I was really cautious about what I ate and drank. My day consisted of salad, veggies, chx, and french fries (I am still pregnant, and french fries are my weakness, especially hot burger king fries, yummy), so almost all good and nothing to drink but water. At the end of the day I felt like I did not feed my little man enough, and had no appetite, it was weird. I am pretty sure it was all in my head though. My mom and Ben’s mom thinks it is wonderful I am gaining weight. I have never had to watch what I ate, and what ever happened to being able to eat whatever you want when you are pregnant, I guess that only counts if you want to have a huge baby. No thank you, healthy yes, huge no!

Well it’s official… Mandy+1 looks pregnant!!!! It only took her 26 weeks!!! Mandy looks so cute with her little baby bump. I think Mandy is starting to get that glow she has been waiting for and I am very proud of the way she has been taking care of herself. I may be biased but I always tell the truth

OH MY GOODNESS!!! you are so beautiful!! you make a great prego mom :) I know it’s been a while but since switching to shift III I’m pretty much in a coma during the day lol!! ya right not with my LIL’GORGEOUS GUY to look after till David gets home around 3 p.m. You know what though I actually really do enjoy it. I get to spend alllllll day with my prince and once he falls asleep for the night I’m off to make the doughnuts. Well I sure am glad to hear that your new shift is working out for you as well. I’m sure it gives your honey alot of “work able” time huh? OMG you must check out this web site that I found (if you don’t already know’bout it:) go to The Land of Nod and have a blast! don’t forget to request your catalog online as well. I already spotted the bedding for Giovonni’s new bed!! I am so excited. Girl call me so we could go shopping! remember my sister lives in your area as well so I’m in your neighborhood at times. I am so happy for you Amanda! and if C-Section is what it might come down to don’t worry it’s nothing, they will have you up and walking after 4 hours of delivery. Once I arrived with baby I was back to about 90% after one week. I suggest you don’t get an eperderal though go with the spinal shot. ALOT less side effects / less risk. Oh and make sure that they have a radio in the Oper. Room so that when you deliver you’ll have a song. Mine was Living La Vida by Cold Play everytime I hear it I smile and it makes me so flippen happy. E-mail so that we can set something up, if you need any help, advice,or questions call me or we can do lunch. What are you RDO’s?
