I remember when black use to make me like thin... not anymore
Today Lennar brought us over a Welcome Home banner, balloons, and a BIG red bow for our door. It was a few months late, but still just as special.

Yes, we do have an address, Ben just filled it in, so no one could stalk our house, lol
It is hard to believe that I am down to my last trimester. If I think back, I was only 8 days pregnant when I found out. In any other situation 6 months seems like such a long time, but for some reason it has flown by. I have heard a lot of different things about what is going to happen and change in my third trimester. I just do not see how it could be that much worst, because I have pretty much been through it all. If anything it seems as though the last few days I have been feeling some relief from the morning sickness and constant nausea. There are a lot of things that I am looking forward to in these last few months: pregnancy pictures, our 3D/4D ultrasound, baby shower, and of course meeting our little man for the very first time. It still seems so surreal to me that there is a human being in my stomach, and I am sure after we get to see his features in the ultrasound it is really going to kick in just how real he is. Hopefully another thing to look forward to is calling him by his name. A lot of names sound really good with Leivian and I am thinking that is what has made it so hard for us to decide. My mom did inform me that a lot of us did not have names until after we were born and my grandma keeps saying that we will know once we see him, I am not sure what that means but you never know. Hopefully it does not come down to this, because I know a lot of people are anxious to call him by his name as am I.
I am looking forward to these last few months and meeting our baby boy. Here is to our third trimester, may it be the best one yet!
Now don’t get me wrong shopping for everything is a blast, but my favorite part is taking all the boxes apart and setting everything up. First we put together the stroller and then the play yard/bassinet, the car seat was all ready to go once it was out of the box. Then my mom and I spent probably another 2 hours, organizing all his drawers and putting all his clothes away. This may seem like an easy task, but anyone that knows me, knows that everything I own is color and size coordinated so of course the baby’s closet has to be too. Sure it takes a little extra time but in the end it is worth it and super easy to find anything you need. And remember those hangers I told you about, I ended up buying 40 thinking I would have extra, but at the end I found myself needing more. It is crazy because you forget all the stuff you have until you start putting it all away. I took some pictures of everything we did yesterday and with my mom’s help his room looks awesome. It is not finished yet, but it is getting there.

Today was the funniest day ever. I have such a blast shopping with Beth and my mom. My mom, grandma, and I have gone shopping a lot for baby, but this trip was different because Beth (my mother in law) went with us. Up until yesterday I have always gone to the Babies R Us at Arrowhead, but one day at lunch this guys with a newborn baby told me to go to Scottsdale instead. So that is what we decided to do, and let me to you it was completely different. The store was cleaner, bigger, and had a lot more merchandise in stock. We just had an awesome day; we spent about 4 hours in there and bought a ton of stuff for baby. And I know what everyone is thinking, that we are suppose to wait and let our friends and family buy us everything for the shower. There was something I decided early on though, I decided that I did not want to put any big items on the registry, I wanted the things that we do register for to be practical. So we have pretty much taken care of all the big things. Today we got his stroller and car seat which I am absolutely in love with. As soon as I saw the pattern and read the reviews on it, I knew it was just what we were looking for. The other thing we purchased yesterday was definitely not planned. We were looking at the play yards that had match the stroller, but none of them really matched they were just made by the same company. Then I noticed this other play yard/bassinet it just look so calm and inviting. I know that may sound a little cheesy but when you see it you will know what I am talking about. I do not prefer the plain bassinets that go by the bed, I think they are a waste of money, but with a two story house I do feel it is necessary for the baby to be able to sleep downstairs or at anybody’s house if need be. We spent about 20 minutes taking it completely apart and playing with every little nock and cranny to make sure it would be perfect for out little man. The verdict was that it was to perfect not to get, so we did. J So then the trip continued on where I found these awesome Amy Coe nursery boxes, and guess what? They were half off, wwoohhooo!!! Up until yesterday I have been spending about 3 to 4 dollars on a 10 pack of baby hangers, but yesterday my hangers were on sale for $1.99 each, score again. We probably should have ended our trip here, but we didn’t. We decided to look at the clothes. The biggest issue so far has been not being able to find any really cute boy clothes. Today this was not an issue, we hit the jack pot. 2 hours later and by the time we had picked everything out, we had 9 Koala Baby outfits and an adorable pair of overalls. We did some pretty good damage. I think we did really well though because every outfit we bought minus one was a lot bigger so he could grow into it. I have heard that they grow out of their newborn and 0-3 month clothes so fast, so I have really made an effort not to buy too many teeny tiny clothes for him. By this point we knew we were done shopping. We finished the trip off with some Chick Fil A and headed home, it was an awesome day!
