I am sure there may be mixed feelings about this but what the heck. I obviously trust Ben with my life and my life would include our unborn child, so we decided to take the motorcycle out. It has been quite a while since we had been able to do this. At first when I suggested it, I might have for a second forgot I was carrying a child, but after thinking about it I realized that Ben is very careful and we would not be going for a crazy ride just a few minutes down the road to our new neighborhood. It was a wonderful ride and very calming for me. After being sick for so long it was nice to just get out and play around and play around we did. The best thing about our new neighborhood is how many parks there are. This is this one park in particular that we have had our eyes on for a while. We parked and got off the bike and decided to walk the path for a little while. It was so cute to because they had this big play place and Ben and I were just thinking about how fun it is going to be to take our child there to play. Right as we were getting ready to leave we saw swings, of course we had to try them out. I can not even think back to the last time I was on a swing. We had a blast swinging, jumping off the swing, twisting the swing around and letting it spin out of control. It was like we were kids again, it was an amazing time. You’re never too old to be a kid again, Right?
Until we get to see our little one again, can’t wait to hear the little heartbeat, finally!
Today marked our second official shopping trip with coupons. I have to say in the beginning I was like NO, have we really come to this. Of course though I was wrong, using coupons is so much more than just saving money it almost gives you a feeling that you have some how figured out a way to beat the system. My husband being the genius that he is has discovered a way to not only use the coupons but to use them when items are also on sale, making final prices practically free, or even just FREE. Who does not love to get something for free? For example today for free we got 3 packs of Wrigley’s gum, sweet deal because everyone buys gum. There was a ton of things, and the best part is that we have so much fun doing it. I could not see doing it yourself but when you get to go together and one checks off the items as the other ones finds the coupon, it can be a total blast. So on our first trip we saved 58 dollars and and spent a total of 43. On this trip went saved 78.46 and spent only 43.42. This coming from people who use to spent a minimum of like 100 dollars on groceries a week. I would say it is quite an accomplishment. Everyone should do it, trust me it is worth it and you would be surprised how many people are using coupons, it is like the “cool thing to do.”
We also used a coupon for lunch at Uncles Sam’s which was a free sandwich valued at 7.00 dollars and a coupon on my prenatal vitamins valued at 2.00. Like I said today was a coupon day.

Here is a pic of everything we bought today

Us at Uncle Sam's for lunch
This is my belly at 13 weeks and 2 days. I am starting to see it, even if no one else can.

Today was a scary day for us. I do not know what it is about this baby but mommy is always sick. I have been dealing with morning sickness since the first 3 weeks, and trust me it has been bad. It is funny to because everyone I talk to never got sick or if they are still pregnant they are never sick. Me on the other hand I am sure I have enough morning sickness to share. Well anyways so Tuesday was a really rough day for me for morning on I was sick to my stomach and had a terrible headache. The day went on but the morning sickness would not subside, it did not matter what I drank or ate, water, juice, yogurt, bread. You name it, it was coming back up. This obviously possesses a problem because I began to get very dehydrated. I then decided to place a call to a nurse to ask her what she thought I should do. Let me tell you these nurses are crazy, she told me well you should definitely call 911 and have an ambulance take you to the emergency room. Ok women maybe if I was throwing up for a few days and I wasn’t pregnant. So I called the next best nurse my mother and she suggested that we just go to urgent care first. So that is what we did. The last time I threw up that night was right before we walked into the building. Surprisingly enough the nurse told me I was dehydrated and had to be placed on an IV to regain fluids. I did not know that but once your fluids are so low the only way to get them back in is through an IV, so going to urgent care was definitely the right thing to do. In total I threw up 21 times that day, crazy right?
I decided to write about this because this is something we experienced that was very real and even a little scary. You always hope that you are doing everything right for your little one, but when things happen that are out of your control you do wonder if everything is OK. I am sure it does not help that I worry about everything, but you get the point. We did not get to see our little one tonight, so we will have to wait until Monday. Until then we will continue to pray and leave it all in God’s hands.
I have not gotten to see the house since the Saturday we put the offer on it at which point I had already decided it was the one and sat on the stairs well Ben checked out everything about it. It is crazy how you can walk into the same house and discover all these new things you never even noticed. For example, I never noticed how big the dinning room is there is like this whole extra wall I never saw, another thing I noticed was how many windows there are, and that my closet has a whole blank wall for a big mirror. I think I was just so smitten by everything I never looked at all the details. It was so funny to because there was a newspaper on the driveway and I told Ben that it was our first, obviously I knew it wasn’t but it was still fun to say. I also got to show my dad and my little brother the house today. My dad is so funny because him and Ben are identical I swear. I remember how Ben was when he first looked at the house, and my dad was the same they look at all the details of things, they open shutters, windows, cabinets, doors, everything I pretty much did not. I just ran around the house saw the kitchen and the closet and was sold. I always told Ben, “Honey I don’t care how big the house is it just has to have a big closet and a big kitchen.” You would be surprised how hard that was to find. I am obviously joking there are others things that are important, but Ben use to always tell me so we don’t need a house I just need to build you a closet, he is so funny right? I love my husband and our life.
20 days until move in…
