Today marked the night before the BIG move. Around 10:30 yesterday we rec’d the call that the house officially belongs to us. Yea, how exciting! I wish I could write about how hard it was and the struggles we went through, but thankfully everything was very smooth throughout the whole process. I feel very lucky to have had the real estate agent we did and the sellers as well. Their integrity all around was something to praise. The very minor things we did run into were taken care of without any hesitation. I really do not know how people wait months and months for not only a contract to be accepted but to move in. I was already getting impatient with the wait and we put the offer in a month ago exactly, a little crazy I know. I think it is just like anything else, once you have found something you want to buy it and take it home right away otherwise we would buy everything online and wait a few weeks for it to come in. Now I can wait for Victoria Secret but a house is a whole new type of waiting. It was exciting though and I must admit we needed all that time for all the paperwork and packing so we could move on time.
Today was a ton of fun because everyone came over to help us pack up the house. Mom, Beth, Bill, Grandma, and Jake, ok so maybe not everyone but do not fret they will definitely all be there tomorrow night and probably the rest of the weekend.

Today we signed for our home and the big check is cashed. It was a very exciting time and you know how everyone says it is so much paperwork and signing? I was pleasantly surprised on the size of our packet, it was only very few signatures with a whole lot of verbiage. The agent we had was a little nutty but made the whole experience really enjoyable for signing for a home. I guess I really can’t say that we bought our first home since we already own another one, but as a married couple it is our first home. We can’t not wait until Friday when they will give us the keys and Ben can carry me through the threshold. Hopefully he can still carry me, because you know I am gaining a little wait, well I definitely know he will not be carrying me up the stairs that is for sure.
Only 2 more days until we can start roping everyone in to helping us move, whoop whoop.

Today was such an amazing day for us; we got to see our little one on the ultrasound. It was so beautiful and our baby actually is starting to look like a baby. It is hard to believe that there is actually a human being growing inside of me. Before, we knew we were pregnant because they told us we were but now seeing the baby on the ultrasound and watching it move around as the doctor was trying to get a good picture, was like a WOW moment and made the whole thing so much more realistic for us. I wanted to cry but I was just to happy and had way to many questions. The coolest thing was that the whole time the ultrasound was going on Ben was videotaping it. I am attaching the video so everyone can see our little one too. I like to think the video was commentated pretty well by me and the doctor. You be the judge and let us know what you think.
So there is this one photo the doctor printed for us, that Ben and I think makes our baby look like the crypt keeper. Like I said before the baby was moving around and at one it turned its head directly towards us and all you can see in the photo is a skeleton baby. It is crazy because from the side the baby looks so normal and developed but from the front, there are no eyes or anything yet. I am fully confident that this is normal but to get it on camera was pretty nuts and just a little creepy. It was an amazing thing for us to experience and to be able to share with our child someday. Come on who gets to see a video of themselves in their mother’s womb?

Today was a really great day for some family time. My oldest brother was turning 25 so we decided to have a BBQ party for him. Ben and I went and bought everything at Costco after church. We got burgers, chips, pickles, veggies, sushi, and cheesecake. When we were finished at Costco we headed over to my parent’s house to start cooking. It was so funny because my mom had asked us get a huge jar of pickles, not knowing that she already had not 1 but 2 other jars in the fridge, it was even funnier when she tried to plan it on me. Sure, blame the pregnant one. So then we cooked all the food and had a great time just hanging out as a family. I ate so much food not including my whole burger, it felt so good have an appetite again and keep it in my stomach. It was just a lot of fun and something we have not all done in a while. I can’t wait until Ben and I get to have everyone over the new house for some family barbecuing.

Tonight me and the hubby watched twilight for the first time. Man were we missing out, I absolutely loved this movie. I really have no idea what it was that drew me in, maybe it was the vampires, who really knows. We did really enjoy it though and we are looking forward to the sequel. Who knew a love story between a vampire and a mortal could be so endearing?
